If you're into chronographs, you should already know the story of Zenith. This watch houses the legendary in house Zenith El Primero movement with a Big Date complication. It's truly a joy to operate the chronograph - the pushers work with a solid click and the chronograph seconds hands moves smoothly. The bracelet is of high quality as well and though it wears quite large on our wrists it was never a sight that we did not enjoy. This is how pilot chronographs should be - big, bold, legible and solid looking.
Zenith Pilot Big Date Chronograph
During our test wearing, our founder loved it so much he almost didn't want to put it for sale! The watch has a huge, legible dial as a pilot's watch should be and it even sports a large date just above the 6 o'clock numeral. Although it is only 42mm it wears quite large due to the bezel-less dial - it gives the impression of an even larger watch - perfect vibe coming from a pilot inspired watch. The bracelet is heavy feeling, and wearing it on the wrist really gives out a strong presence, and people will notice it. It's actually not very thick - but it wears quite thick due to the design of the bracelet. Switch out the bracelet for a brown vintage leather pilot strap and it will feel lighter and will reduce it's loud wrist presence. It also dresses it up a little so you might be able to pull it off on office attire. Flip over the watch and you can really see how unobscured the wonderful El Primero 36,000 movement is - everything is truly a sight to look at.
