An evolution of the the Seiko 62MAS, this 140th Anniversary Edition SBDC139 (also known as SPB213) is the most distinguished model of the series, designed to celebrate Seiko's history in manufacturing brilliant dive watches since the 1960s. The watch draws inspiration from Seiko's legendary 62MAS dive watch in the design, except with stunning sunburst silverish dial which reflects the light beautifully, appearing bright white depending on the lighting. This kind of dial is very reminiscent of Grand Seiko quality dial finishings, except here it is executed at a lower price range. This dial is further accentuated by the stunning ocean blue 120 click bezel, which also changes to black depending on the light. The bezel is also very special for this Limited Edition Series as it is a proprietary high gloss finish of steel which mimics the look of ceramic bezels, but at a much lower cost. This dynamic dial and bezel combination is what makes this Seiko Diver extremely special and stand out from the rest of the series.
 
The caseback of the watch has the usual wave prospex design, simple in execution, and the watch is powered by the every reliable Seiko 6R35 automatic movement. The watch has a 70 hours power reserve, 200m Water Resistance and ISO Dive Watch Compliant, making it a perfect watch for casual desk divers and those who plan to take this under the water.
 
On the wrist, it wears comfortably, even on smaller wrists due to the design of the case, with a relatively restrained proportions. It has just enough of that special something because of the dial and bezel, and best of of all, the special 'DiaShield' coating Seiko applies to this watch gives the stainless steel a very titanium lustre that's unique compared to other dive watches out there. In all honesty, this watch punches above its price range in finishing quality and offers exceptional value - and even dare I say it - more enjoyable than the Tudor Black Bay 58 in many occasions.
